Annie Lee

Annie Lee is currently employed as a Counselor where she models and mentors foster children to develop empowering life coping skills and how to make positive support life choices.

Like many Hmong refugees, Annie was born in the jungles of Laos when her family freed from the communists, who took over Laos after the Vietnam War. Her family settled in a refugee camp in Thailand where she grew up and lived for 13 years. In 1993, the camp was closed down and her family relocated to the United States. As a young girl growing up in the Hmong culture, she was taught early in life to expected to think and behave in a certain way to reflect the roles and image of a “good” Hmong girl. She had her fair share of childhood challenges, especially the feeling of “never good enough.” She lived her early years trying to “prove” and to “compete” in order to be seen, to be accepted and to be loved. As a brave young woman struggling to maintain a balance between the American culture and Hmong culture, Annie went through many life obstacles on her own to earn a college degree, obtaining a stable job and finally living that “American Dream”. However, with all the achievements Annie has accomplished, she was still unfulfilled and felt that there was a higher calling for her. After several years of an extensive search for life success and happiness, she discovered the importance of self-actualization such as: having a deep connection, appreciation and understanding of oneself; “who you really are, why you are here and your power to create your life.” Annie believes that a life well lived is one that is intentional and fulfilled with love, passion, authenticity and purposes. Annie believes that we all are powerful. We have unique gifts, messages, wisdom and talents. When we share our special gifts with people, we can and we will change the world. As a result, Annie is committed to guide women to OWN their power so that they can fully EXPRESS their authentic self and go on creating a a life and career with passion.

She has been married to her husband, Jeffrey Lee, for 10 years. They have 2 daughters and a son. They live in the Central Valley, CA.

In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, reading, connecting with family and friends. When she’s not working, you can find her driving along the beautiful California coast, being with nature, taking pictures and collecting memories with her family.
